Ma$e Clocks In “Slight Work” W/ Diddy, Wale & French Montana

Mase & Diddy

Former Bad Boy Records rapper Ma$e is officially back to making music again as heard on Wale’s “Slight Work” remix featuring his ex-boss Diddy.

On the record, Ma$e takes fans back to his early Harlem World days with colorful rhymes.

“Whatchu want me to say, whatchu want to do,” Ma$e raps. “Different kind of money make different kind of moves/Different kind of dudes wear different kind of jewels/Different kind of drop on different kind of shoes/With my hat to the back, man a different kind of mood/You get a different kind of chill from a different kind of cool.

The track also boasts vocals courtesy of Bad Boy rookie French Montana.

For weeks, Wale’s been on Twitter teasing the world about the remix to his current hit single, “Slight Work,” claiming the track’s co-conspirators would shock everyone. With the song’s liberation moments ago, Folarin may have accomplished just that. French Montana’s not exactly surprising given his connection with MMG and the fact he’s one of rap’s more talked about names at the moment*. However, seeing Diddy and Mase on a track together in 2012 may not have been high on the list of guesses.

Recent reports suggested Ma$e could be headed to Rick Ross‘ record label.

According to a reliable source within the Maybach Music Group camp pieces are falling into place. “Yes, I think its safe to say Omarion is MMG.” As the Maybach Music empire continues to evolve it may not end there. Seems as if there is another offer on the table, “I don’t want to let no cats out the bag but we’ll see what’s good with Ma$e.” When pressed about what the roster may look like in the upcoming months, “As far as newest members Omarion and shout out to Ma$e if he wants to get down with this movement then we’ll see what happens.

Last week, French Montana hyped up the return of Diddy’s protege.

“We were in a Miami studio last night and Ma$e just stopped by,” Montana exclusively told XXL. “We were just workin’ on my album. We recorded two songs together–me, Ross and Ma$e. You might hear [Ma$e] on either my album [Excuse My French] or Ross’ [God Forgives, I Don’t] or both.” Although the current 2012 XXL Freshman wouldn’t divulge any further details on the songs, he did mention that Ma$e is sounding pretty sharp and this collaboration with himself, Rozay and the former Bad Boy has been in the works. “We been planning it,” French said. “Ma$e sounds good, sound like he never left. His flow is crazy. We’re going to let the world hear soon enough. Stay tuned. Just stay tuned
